World: Rewind 2019

This year was all about exploring more of the beautiful Europe. Find nice nature places. Places that are still uncrowded and just stunning. With our pick this year with Madeira, the Pyrenees in France and Spain, the Dolomites in Italy, as well the beautiful Slovenia, we choose amazing outdoor locations.

A winter escape (Madeira)

This year we visited Madeira at the End of January. As Madeira has the same weather nearly all year around. The weather did not disappoint. We had t-Shirt weather with a lot of sun. Enjoyed amazing hikes, that we did not do the first time. As well as great food. It was just the perfect winter escape.

It is always sunny in California

This year I was able to enjoy a week in California. I used it to visit the Big Basin Redwoods State Park, Santa Cruz as well as the Muir Beach. Even that it was cold in the morning, in April, California never disappoints with the sun.

Another biking weekend

Even that my bike accident from 2018 was still in my head, I joined these years MTB weekend. End of May the weather in Palatine was great. The rides were also perfectly plan. Just my fitness level was not anymore what it used to be.

Outdoor heaven Pyrenees (France/Spain)

At the beginning of June we made it to the beautiful Pyrenees. First exploring the French part in Garvanie. Following by the Spain part of the Parque Nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido. It was just beautiful with breath taking mountain ranges.

Back to the Dolomites (Italy)

The combination of the Italian mountains and food, always promise a nice vacation. We visit this year St. Christina (Val Gardena) and Sexten (Puster Valley) in September. On our way to Slovenia.

Slovenia is beautiful

Even that I did not have Slovenia on my radar for a long time. I was excited to visit this beautiful country. We enjoyed the area of Bovec and Lake Bohinj in September/October. I was impressed with amazing natural sides. The many hiking options. The clear water. The stunning mountains.
