Our first day in South Africa lead us from the Johannesburg O.R. Tambo International Airport to the small town of Clarens. The 300 km drive on the highway 3 brought us to the foothills of the Dragensberg. The closer we got the Drakensberg the more glimpse we got on this gorges mountains, which was everything but what I was expecting of South Africa.
In Clarens we enjoyed our first stay in the St. Fort Country House. Which is just outside of Clarens and a beautiful estate for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surrounding. After our long flight we just enjoyed the big garden area and walked around in order to enjoy the silence and the beauty of the nature.
