Ireland: Hidden Gem – Mizen Head

The Mizen Head we found on the Kilmore Peninsula during our quest to find remote coast line places in Ireland. This place is amazing beautiful and it is possible to enjoy just the weaves when looking at the ocean. It was totally worth to take the driving effort to come to this place. It is far away from the tourist places and give some kind of remote piece.

Where to park: Mizen Head parking space. Parking is for free but entry fees needs to be paid in order to hike to the Mizen Head.

Tips: enjoy after the small hike (1 hour) a nice coffee and cake in the sun at the ocean. The restaurant is at the entry point.

The hike includes several stairs, in order to see everything. At the end of the hike there is a small museum that can be visited – entry included in hiking fee.

Cost: entry fee needs to be paid.

Personal opinion: Nice small spot for a hike to the Mizen Head.
