The black forest is a beautiful region in the south-west of Germany. It is well-known for its evergreen forest, small towns and amazing hikes. One nice pearl to visit is the “Edelfrauengrab-Wasserfälle” near Ottenhöfen.
The waterfalls are divided in 7 cascades and the hike will lead you over 180 steps through the Gottschlägtal (Valley). The hike along the waterfalls is beautiful. If you decide only to do the waterfalls, plan in one to two hours.
It is possible to combine the waterfall hike with the “Karlsruher Grad“. Starting from the parking slot of the “Edelfrauengrab” over the waterfalls to the Karlsruher Grad and back over Bromberg. The hike is ~10 to 12 km long, depending on which route exactly you are taking. The hike is well-marked and have nice view points. Still, the waterfalls are the highlight of the hike.
