Kalište – stay in a tradition summer home
We started our Czech road trip to a traditional Czech summer house in the area of Kalište. Simple living in the woods to relax and watching deer, that came real close to the house. Showering outside, with a nice outdoor shower. Sitting on the porch with a coffee, overseeing the nearby fields with sheep. Sometimes life is that simple and happy.
Meziměstí – visting the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks and surround
One real surprising park we visited in Czech been the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks. The rocks are an unusual set of sandstone formations covering 17 km2. They are named after two municipalities: Adršpach, and Teplice nad Metují. The park offers several hiking parks, from simple to challenging. The park is really stunning, and I never saw something like that before. Even that it can become crowded, it is completely worth to go. May choose a weekday, in the morning hours.
Špindlerův Mlýn – hiking in the Bohemian Switzerland national park
During a road trip to Czech the Bohemian Switzerland national park should not be missed. We stayed nearby Špindlerův Mlýn, where it is easy to start on all hiking trails in the area. Even that the hiking paths are nice, the area marked as a ski area. Slopes on every hill are spoil the nature. On top, the area was mainly touristy. A lot of “fun” adventure to keep tourists entertained.
Jablonec nad Jizerou – on local trails
Next stop been the area of Jablonec nad Jizero, which concludes a lot of local hiking trails in the summer. In the winter, the are is popular for snow shoeing and long distance skiing. If you want to escape the crowds in Bohemian Switzerland, this is the place to come.
