Havana is the capital and largest city in Cuba. Mostly it is the starting point for traveling in Cuba. It is a beautiful city which several things to do. From drinking the first Mojito over dancing lessons and habanos cigars.
Havana Club Bar
It is a bar with a museum and a tasting. Take some time to enjoy the fresh made drink and wander around the winery.
Bodeguita del Medio
Visit Hemingways “second” home and enjoy a Mojito on the roof terrace. The Bodeguita claims to being the birthplace of the Mojito cocktail, prepared in the bar since its opening in 1942. The rooms are full of curious objects, frames and photos. The walls covered by signatures of famous and unknown customers.
Malecón
Enjoy a walk or drive at the waterfront Malecón. It is a roadway and seawall which stretches for 8 km along the coast in Havana. Starting at Havana Harbor until Vedado.
Casa de la Música
Is a club in Havana with salsa bands and salsa music. The place is nice to learn salsa dancing and getting the right Cuba feeling. I found it nice as we went there already in the evening. Inside the club you do not have a feeling for the day and nighttime. Bands are playing all the time and giving the place a special feeling.
Old-timer
See the many old-timers in the streets of Havana. Some work as a taxi. If you can try to catch one of it but be warned not all function may be intact. We got one with a half window and a hole in the ground.
Real Fabrica de Tabacos Partagás
It is a cigar factory museum in Havana, which was build 1845. It is world-famous for the habanos cigars are produced in this factory. We only saw it from the outside, it is an impressive building.
