To days travel plan was a day trip to the nature reserve Las Terrazas. The reserve is located in the Sierra del Rosario mountains and was designated a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1984. The reserve is a home to a lot of flora and fauna, and includes lakes, rivers and waterfalls.
From the Casa de Botes we took one of the several paths to the Baños de San Juan, where we took a nice refreshing bath near a waterfall. In order not to miss out, definitely bring your bath suite.
All in all was the place nice but in my eyes a bit to tourist. Nether the less it was interesting to see what a reforestation project (1968) can do and that it is never too late to save the environment.
